Towers Feedback Form

Together the draft South Perth Activity Centre Plan (ACP) and proposed Town Planning Scheme Amendment No. 61 (Amendment No. 61) regulate towers across the activity centre area. The draft ACP contains objectives for towers and Amendment No. 61 contains the requirements for towers.

Section 1 - Towers

The questions in this section are not compulsory - you may answer as many or as few as you wish.

1. To what extent do you support the objectives for tower setbacks and separation in the draft ACP?

Objective i. To ensure amenity for building occupants is maintained by providing adequate separation between towers.
Objective ii. To minimise the potential for closely located buildings to create an effect of cumulative bulk.
Objective iii. To ensure wind impacts are effectively managed by separation of buildings.
Objective iv. To enable sightlines, breezes and sunlight to penetrate adequately between buildings.

2. To what extent do you support the objectives for tower floorplate size in the draft ACP?

Objective i. To ensure that all buildings adhere to the principle that if a building is taller, it must be more slender in proportion to the overall lot size and have more space around it.
Objective ii. To maintain opportunities for view corridors between buildings, minimise overshadowing and limit building bulk.
Objective iii. To organise and articulate tall building towers to promote design excellence, innovation and sustainability.
Objective iv. To minimise wind impacts arising from bulky or closely grouped buildings.
3. To what extent do you support the requirements for tower setbacks in Schedule 9B of proposed Amendment No. 61?
