Proposed Public Places and Local Government Property Amendment Local Law 2020

The City invites comments on proposed amendments to the Public Places and Local Government Property Local Law 2011.

The purpose of the proposed local law is to make amendments to the City of South Perth Public Places and Local Government Property Local Law 2011 which regulates the care, control and management of property of and under the care, control and management of the City.

The effect of the proposed local law is that some City of South Perth property is set aside for particular uses, some activities are allowed only under a permit or under a determination, and others are restricted or prohibited. The amendments will ensure the City of South Perth Public Places and Local Government Property Local Law 2011 is consistent with the Public Health Act 2016.

You are encouraged to examine the Proposed Public Places and Local Government Property Amendment Local Law 2020 and to lodge a written submission. Your submission should include:

• comments either supporting or opposing the proposals, or suggesting particular ways in which you believe that the Local Law should be modified
• reasons for your opinion, or other discussion to explain your comments
• your name and postal address, to enable the City to respond to your submission and to advise you of the final outcome of the process.

Hard copies of the proposed amended Local Law are available to view during business hours at the Civic Centre and City’s libraries.
