Hurlingham Playground Expansion

Thank you to everyone that participated in this project. Your feedback has been assessed, the design finalised and installation completed. Read the project update to find out more. 

We’re expanding the playground on the South Perth Foreshore near Hurlingham Road and we want to hear your feedback.

New play equipment will be installed to integrate with the existing playground to provide an inclusive and welcoming play space for children of all abilities to play and interact together. Installation is scheduled for winter 2022.

The additional play equipment includes:

• A ramp that leads to a tube slide, providing access for children with mobility needs. Ramps can also help improve gross motor skills
• Climbing equipment that caters for a wide range of ability levels and improves upper body strength
• Opportunities for games, role play and hide and seek
• Calming, sensory friendly areas
• Accessibility seat on the swing that will be relocated
• Sand play elements for sensory and creative play
• Talking tubes for social play.

The current equipment and sandpit will remain and most of the new equipment will be located under the current shade sails.

How can I get involved/give my feedback?

• Come to the drop-in information session at the playground on Saturday 12 February, any time between 9am and 11am
• Complete the online feedback form. Hardcopy forms are available at the Civic Centre and South Perth and Manning libraries
