We received a good response to the Bill McGrath Reserve playground replacement survey and drop-in session, with a broad and diverse range of feedback.

The top three favourite things to do at the playground were swinging, climbing and sliding, which is a common theme with other recent playground engagements. The pencils and steps in the nature area are extremely popular and will be retained, as will the basketball/netball court.

The concept design for the new playground will be developed based on the feedback received, the City’s Play Space Plan, industry guidelines, and other considerations such as budget.

A supplier will be engaged in the near future and it is anticipated that the new playground will be installed around April-June 2024 to allow for procurement, manufacture and delivery of the equipment.
