Draft modified Local Planning Strategy to be considered by Council

CLOSED: This discussion has concluded.

Overall a total of 282 responses were received via feedback forms, petitions and written responses. This feedback has been reviewed and a report prepared that analyses the outcomes of the feedback. A copy of the Consultation Outcomes Report is now available for viewing.

Feedback has informed a number of modifications to the draft Strategy. New and modified strategies and actions are proposed across all key topic areas, including refinements to the ‘Managed Growth Strategy’.

These modifications will be discussed in detail in a report that will be considered by Council at the Agenda Briefing at 5.30pm on Tuesday 17 September 2019 and the Ordinary Council Meeting at 7pm on Tuesday 24 September 2019.

The Agenda Briefing document will be available by 5pm on Friday 13 September at the Council’s office, libraries and the City’s website. Members of the public may address Council by making a deputation at the Agenda Briefing.

If Council endorses the modified draft Local Planning Strategy, a copy of the modified Strategy along with copies of all feedback received will be sent to the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) for final approval.
