Exactly how is the council promoting or enabling better public health by introducing paid parking at the foreshore? Has the Council bothered to find out how many people have stopped recreating because of the cost? Dog walkers, runners, walking groups, playground using families, rowing families, surfcat users - all of these groups are represented in the hundreds of complaints on social media about this greedy fee.

Hi there, thank you for your question about paid parking down at the foreshore. The changes to parking times and fees at the Coode Street carpark were recently endorsed by Council to better manage parking availability for residents and visitors. Your comments will be included in the feedback report, but we encourage you to also complete the survey.
