The feedback period for the draft LPP - Unhosted Short-Term Rental Accommodation has now closed. The feedback will be analysed and the revised LPP presented to Council for adoption in early 2025. Thank you to everyone who provided feedback.

At the Ordinary Council Meeting (External link) on Tuesday 19 November 2024, Council resolved to advertise draft Local Planning Policy (LPP) - Unhosted Short-Term Rental Accommodation for a period of 21 days.

The draft LPP includes:

  • updates to the terminology and land uses in line with State Government reform
  • provides limits on number of guests
  • prescribes information to be included in Management Plans and a Code of Conduct in support of applications, including matters related to house rules, check-in and out procedures, waste management and compliance with strata by-laws where relevant
  • locational requirements.
