Trial Parklet proposal – No. 79 Angelo Street (Nextdoor Restaurant and Olsen Butchers)

The City of South Perth is inviting stakeholder and community feedback on a trial parklet proposal in front of Nextdoor Restaurant and Olsen Butchers at No. 79 Angelo Street.

What is a parklet?

Parklets are temporary moveable structures placed in car parking bays, providing publicly accessible seating and amenities for the community and local businesses. They are small pockets of public space that repurpose part of the street, providing open and engaging spaces for people to linger within the street environment.

What is being proposed?

This parklet is proposed to occupy two on-street parking bays to provide alfresco dining opportunities for the two businesses and permanent bench seating for the public outside of restaurant trading hours. Additional furniture (small tables and chairs) will be added to the space during restaurant opening hours (to allow for approximately 20 people). The parklet is being proposed for an initial 12-month trial period.

View the indicative plans and cover letter from the applicant explaining the proposal and reasoning behind it.
