The feedback period for the application for a licence for the parklet in front of Nextdoor Restaurant at No. 79 Angelo Street closed on 17 December 2024. Thank you to everyone who provided feedback, which has now been analysed.

In February 2025, the application will be considered by Council. Information about viewing or attending the Agenda Briefing at 6:00pm on Tuesday 18 February, and the Ordinary Council Meeting at 6:00pm on Tuesday 25 February, can be found on the City's website.

At the December 2023 Ordinary Council Meeting, Council resolved to grant a 12-month licence for the trial parklet at No. 79 Angelo Street (Nextdoor Restaurant), subject to various conditions relating to the use and maintenance of the space.

The parklet has since been constructed and the applicant is now seeking a licence for a three-year period.

No changes to the parklet structure are proposed, with the hours of operation remaining as follows:

  • Wednesday and Thursday: 3:00pm – 10:00pm
  • Friday: 12:00pm – 11:30pm
  • Saturday: 12:00pm – 11:30pm
  • Sunday: 12:00pm – 6:00pm

The applicant does not have exclusive or uninterrupted use of the area. The parklet must remain publicly available at all times.
