Scheme Amendment No. 1 to Local Planning Scheme No. 7 - Short-Term Rental Accommodation

At the Ordinary Council Meeting on 25 March 2025, Council resolved to support Scheme Amendment No.1 to Local Planning Scheme No. 7. You can read the meeting minutes on the City’s website (External link). The documents will now be forwarded to the Western Australian Planning Commission for consideration.
At the Ordinary Council Meeting (External link) on Tuesday 22 October, Council resolved to advertise Scheme Amendment No. 1 to Local Planning Scheme No. 7 (LPS 7) - Short-Term Rental Accommodation.
The purpose of the draft Scheme Amendment is to:
- update LPS 7 text to introduce new and revised land use classes and general definitions to facilitate State Government reforms for short-term rental accommodation.
The City is now seeking feedback on this draft Scheme Amendment.
