The public comment period for the draft Heritage List has closed. All feedback received will be analysed and the Heritage List revised as appropriate. It will presented to Council in November 2025 for adoption.

The deemed provisions of the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015 require that local governments establish and maintain a heritage list to identify places that are of cultural heritage significance and worthy of built heritage conservation.

Between 1-25 September 2025, the City is seeking feedback on the draft Heritage List.

The draft Heritage List is informed by the recently adopted Local Heritage Survey. Read the Frequently asked questions to find out more.

Inclusion on the City’s Heritage List does not mean that a place/property cannot be changed, however, a development application will be required and will need to demonstrate how the proposed development will protect the cultural heritage significance of the place/property.
