The out for comment period has now closed.

The City of South Perth invites comments on proposed amendments to the Standing Orders Local Law 2007. The purpose of the amendment is to;

  • change provisions relating to public question time
  • adjust the notice period to ensure Elected Members submit alternative motions in writing to the Chief Executive Officer, by 12pm on the day before the Council Meeting.
This will ensure that all Elected Members and members of the public are given the opportunity to view and consider alternative motions prior to the Council meeting.

The amended Local Law is also available for inspection during business hours at the Civic Centre and the City Libraries.

You are encouraged to examine the Local Law and to lodge a written submission. Your submission should include:

  • comments either supporting or opposing the proposals, or suggesting particular ways in which you believe that the proposed Local Law should be modified;
  • reasons for your opinion, or other discussion to explain your comments; and
  • your name and postal address, to enable the City to respond to your submission and to advise you of the final outcome of the process.

Feedback will be received until 5pm, Friday 2 September 2016.

Written submissions should be addressed to:
