Local Planning Strategy to be considered at a later date

The Draft Local Planning Strategy was due to be considered at the March round of Council meetings. The item was withdrawn from the Agenda and the matter was not considered at the March meeting.

The item was withdrawn due the number of people indicating their intention to attend the meeting and in the interest of public safety.

You can still download a copy of the Agenda item (which includes the Draft Local Planning Strategy report) via the website.

To provide the opportunity for all interested parties to make deputations and listen to debate in relation to this item, Council will consider the Draft Strategy at a future meeting. If you have not already, please register for updates so we can keep you informed of the future meeting date.

The safety and wellbeing of the community is paramount and we are proactively working on a range of matters relating to our business to ensure safe, transparent access to Council decision making.

The Draft Local Planning Strategy is the first step in a wider review into the City’s planning framework. It considers a range of factors affecting future planning. We hope over the coming months to work with all stakeholders to consider these factors in detail.
