Installation of the new equipment and sand pit area will begin on Monday 1 July and the play space is expected to re-open to the public in 4–5 weeks. The nature play area will remain open. View the final design in the Document Library.

The playground at Bill McGrath Reserve in Kensington is due for replacement, as guided by the City’s Play Space Plan 2022 (PDF, 6.87 MB). To help us choose the new playground equipment, we’d like to know more about the types of play elements you love and the features you’d like to see there.
